Hey guys, honda knows that this is a common issue. As of right now only 12-13 accords and cr-v have a fix, which is an updated Vtc actuator. Honda also knows this problem is happening on civic si with k24 and newer crv and accords (2015). They are currently working on making update parts to fix this concern.

Took my 2009 Accord in today for servicing at the dealership. The last oil change was on April 9 2019. Oil was low 2 quarts after approx. 3k miles. This engine is consuming oil along with the rattle noise at cold start ups. Also, recommended to have the piston rings change along with the timing chain and the VTC for $4,400.
